4:00 p.m. Update…

Jess- Jessie is on her way to Harborview and is still in critical condition.  She is showing signs of her normal feisty self 🙂  The team of doctors at Harborview is ready to assess her upon arrival and we should be able to provide another update regarding the next steps in her treatment around 9:00 tonight.

Jaime-  She has been awake, talking, and has even shown a good sense of humor given the circumstances.  They are taking her back for her first surgery right now.

Steven- Steven is in surgery right now.  We are told that he is doing very well.

Jeremy- Jer, Terry, Betta and Heather are on their way over to Harborview from Wenatchee.  Jer is showing amazing strength and courage and is looking forward to seeing Jaime and Steven.

Please continue to pray for wisdom for the doctors, and strength and healing for these precious friends of ours.  They are fighting hard and we are so proud to walk beside them.  We trust that God is in control and will heal in a way that only He can. We appreciate your continued respect of their privacy and continue to ask for no phone calls or visits as I mentioned in my previous post.  Thank you so much.

  4. It is wonderful to hear that Jessie is being transported to Harborview so that all can be together and support for each other. My prayers continue for all. Thank you, Christy, for the updates.

    • Thank you Christy for continuing to keep us updated. I am glad that they will be together. Strength comes in numbers and I am glad they have so much support through you and your family. I know their whole family needs that at this time. I continue to have them in my prayers.

  5. I am available to help in any way — take care of their dogs or Terry’s cats? Help Steven’s family in BC? I will do anything.

  7. Thank you so much for doing this. Your updates are a treasure and helps me feel as if I’m there with the family. I’m so glad that they will all be together… it’s the only way it could be for such a close family. Loving thoughts and prayers go out to all.

  8. Please keep me updated. I’m praying for the kids. I know Tim, Cheryl and god are watching over them. I am beyond sad for this loss.

  9. My heart is broken. I am from a City of Seattle work team that Cheryl was a part of for ~6 yrs in the 80’s (during which time Jessie was born) and we continued to get together after we went our separate ways. Words fail me right now but I’m sending every bit of healing energy I have to the “kids.”

  10. Thank you so much for this blog. I’m still stunned, and relieved to get updates on the kids. I was part of the work group with Cheryl at the City of Seattle, when Jessie was born. We had a lot of fun, and enjoyed seeing the kids grow up so gorgeously. Tim and Cheryl gave them a marvelous foundation. Praying for a smooth recovery for each of them.

  11. Thank you so much for keeping this blog updated. I’m one of the moms from Tim’s Blue Reign soccer team and know that the girls are watching to keep up with kids’ progress, while processing their loss of a beloved coach. We are all praying for your family.

  12. Our hearts are saddened when we think of your tragic loss. It’s been 10 years since I’ve seen Jessie, but I remember her positive attitude and big heart. We will not pretend to know what you are going through, but know that your family is in our prayers.

  13. Thank you so much for keeping us all updated. It means more than I can even say. Tim and Cheryl treated me as a part of their family, and I will never forget what amazing and special people they were. My thoughts and prayers are with the kids and Terry, and I am hopeful that the love and strength they all share will help them heal. I’ve never met a family with such a love and respect for one another and know that Tim and Cheryl will be watching over their family from above.

  14. Thank you Christy for keeping us updated. We knew the Owen’s years ago and I remember them as such a wonderful family. Darrell and Tim coached softball together! Kristi and Jessie were on the team. Lots of wonderful memories! We are praying for the whole family and the doctors. So glad that the have a huge support system. If we can help in any way don’t hesitate to ask.

  15. I, and all of the staff at Frank Love, are saddened by the events of the past days. Jessie is an
exceptional teacher, colleague, and friend. I am the Librarian at Frank Love and have worked with her since she began as a part time teacher at our school. She often talks about her family, especially about her siblings and all of the things they do together. Her students love and respect her because she sets high expectations for them and they strive to meet them…because of the teacher she is. Each week when she picks her class up after Library class, she has
a very unique way of calling them all together. She will say, “Class?” and they will reply, “Yes,
Miss Owen…” and she will say, “are you ready to go?” and they respond, “Yes, Miss Owen” and
they are off to continue their day. So, here, in Jessie’s indubitable way, I say, “Friends”…”yes”..
“are you ready?” “Then send Jessie and her family all the love, caring, and healing energy that
is possible, so that they get better quickly, and we can have “our” Jessie back in the halls of
Frank Love.” Thanks for keeping us updated about them all.
